2024 for the Brockmans
January
We had Londyn November 20, 2023, via C-Section, so we spent December recovering and building immunity. In January, we started the New Year off the best way we thought possible- by introducing Londyn to CBC (Community Bible Church). We've been going to CBC for a little over six years now. We've tried a few different churches closer to our side of town, but there really is nothing like the teachings of Pastor Ed and CBC.
February
Cayden turned three and had his first "big boy" birthday party! This year, we celebrated at a fun place called "Pump It Up," which was an inflatable jump house venue if you will. This was the perfect party venue for toddlers because each room is privately contained for only the party guests. We loved having the area to ourselves and seeing Cadyen run around with his friends!
March
In March, we got to celebrate Easter as a family of four. Londyn was four months old so we spent the day at home with our families. After visiting with everyone, we wrapped up the day thankful and blessed for what God has given us.
April
Remember the Eclipse of 2024? Cayden was in daycare that day, but we got to hang out with baby Londyn and peek outside for what was expected to be the most exciting event all month. Sadly, in San Antonio, it was extremely cloudy that day. While we got to see a little effect of the eclipse, it wasn't nearly like what others in different locations got to experience. We had fun prepping for it though!
May
May was full of exciting adventures for our family. I had my first Mother's day with two babies, we got to take Cayden to his first baseball game at the Missions in San Antonio, and we spent a weekend in South Padre, our first big adventure and long drive as a family of four!
June
This month was Tyler's month to celebrate Father's Day. This was the first Father's Day with two kiddos and a baby girl that has him wrapped around her finger. In June, we also went up to Brownwood to visit my family and surprisingly, rescue a flock of ducks- ten to be exact! These young ducklings had been hanging out near my Nanny's house for about a week. We assume someone had dumped, and we were worried. With the assistance of Cayden, we put them in my Nanny's back yard for the night and the next day, boxed them up and took them to Riverside Park where the Pecan Bayou runs through Brownwood. Needless to say, the adorable ducks took to the bayou rather quickly and seemed very thankful.
July
July was a month full of events and adventures. Not only did we celebrate Fourth of July at a friend's home bbqing and swimming, we also made it to Sea World to see the fireworks! Then, we celebrated Tyler's birthday.
August
This month was Cayden's first time to Buc-ee's! Can you believe it took us 3.5 years to get him there? We personally aren't die hard Buc-ee's fans, but we do make it a point to stop when there's one in sight. Have you seen there restrooms? They are unmatched in cleanliness and efficient in getting people in and out. This time, we stopped at one on our way to Katy to check on one of my client's listings.
September
In September Cayden got to play on his first competitive soccer team and of course, we had to sign Tyler up to be one of the coaches. To be honest, we went into the soccer season thinking Cayden was going to be the All Star Player with as many seasons of "Soccer Shots" as he's had. God had other plans to test our patience. We soon realized this would be the season of "warming up" to the idea of a team sport and having to share one ball. The next sport we are going to try out is TBall and we are both excited for that one!
October
October was another busy month for us. We celebrated my birthday, our Fifth Anniversary, and our first Halloween with two kiddos. Everyone that knows us, knows we love going on our cruises and scuba diving so we took a week to ourselves to enjoy the Carribean and "prep" for our December trip. Stay tuned to hear about that one!
November
We can't believe that Baby Londyn has already turned ONE!!! In November we celebrated her first birthday with a very small party. It was her first time getting to try birthday cake and she 100% understood the assignment. We also spent a weekend in Brownwood visitng my family for Thanksgiving.
