LAND: Freer and Duval County are known for their browse-heavy plant species, which is what makes it such strong deer country. Mesquite, Huisache, Black Brush, White Brush, Guajilla and several varieties of pear cactus are found on the ranch, alongside grasses such as Buffelgrass, Little Bluestem, Windmill, and Buffalograss. The terrain is gently rolling across the property, with elevation ranging from 640ft on the southeast side to 750ft on the northwest side. Soils are predominately sandy loam. Several areas have been recently cleared to open things up, improving grazing, visibility, and movement across the property. Together, this combination of South Texas brush, grasses, topography and water distribution create ideal habitat for wildlife. The option to purchase smaller acreage is available.
